Anionic Polymer and Cationic Polymer are Flocculants / flocculation chemicals used in waste water treatment processes for solids removal, water clarification, lime softening, sludge thickening, and solids dewatering. These are normally used in conjunction with a coagulant chemical, Poly Aluminum Chloride. Once the particles have destabilized from the coagulation process, the flocculants gather the destabilized particles together and cause them to agglomerate, creating a floc, which then floats to the surface (flotation) or settles to the bottom (sedimentation). Using this product can help ease the removal of the waste from the liquid.
